Marathon Kennels
Our approach

A family program with a long view

Marathon Kennels is a family-owned and operated breeding program led by Jonathon Patton, and one of the most prominent names in Brazilian Bulls in the United States. We are home-based in Oklahoma, with partner locations in Texas, Florida and other states. Our family is involved in the daily care and development of our dogs.

Our story

Marathon Kennels began in the early 2000s with a genuine passion for dogs and has grown into a family breeding program with relationships across the bully community.

Our experience spans XL American Bullies, exotic bully bloodlines and Brazilian Bulls, including breed standards, pedigree development, neonatal care and early puppy development.

Our goal has never been to simply produce more dogs. It is to build something meaningful, with transparent communication and relationships that last.

How we plan a breeding

Temperament and health are the foundation of every breeding decision we make.

From there we evaluate the complete dog: structure, pedigree compatibility, breed characteristics and what a pairing can contribute to future generations.

We don't build our program around trends or coat colors. The value of good decisions shows over time, as consistency and character carry forward.

Brazilian Bulls

Brazilian Bulls, known in Brazil as Pit Monsters, drew us in with their thoughtful pedigree development, distinctive structure and long-term potential.

We aim to contribute to the breed through carefully planned pairings and continued learning alongside experienced breeders.

Veterinary care

Our breeding dogs receive ongoing veterinary evaluation. We work with veterinary professionals on wellness, breeding decisions and early puppy care.

We don't publish individual medical records online. Available documentation for a specific dog can be discussed with serious inquiries.
